Graveside services for Cecil F. Reynolds, 86 were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003 in the Lexington Cemetery in Lexington with Rev. David White of Lexington United Methodist Church officiating. He died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003 in the Richards Memorial Hospital in Rockdale.
Mr. Reynolds was born Nov. 29, 1916 in Lexington to W. S. and Elizabeth (Boyd) Reynolds. He was raised in Lexington, moved to Houston 19425-1994 and then returned to Lexington.
Mr. Reynolds and Edna Cherry were married Dec. 5, 1933 in Caldwell. He was a construction engineer for Turner, Collins & Brady in Friendswood for the City of Kingswood.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers C.B, Gus, Robert, Ben and Johnny Reynolds; sisters, Belva Woodward and Maggie Pinkston.
Surviving are: Wife, Edna C. Reynoldss of Lexington; sons, Clayton Reynolds of Katy and Cecil Reynolds II of Houston; daughter, Cherry Stover and husband Bill of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Dempsey Stover, Teri Munn, Stacey Stover, Jason Reynolds, Angel Elliot, Allison Harkway and Melody Genzel; eight great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Grace Reynolds of Lexington and Pauline Reynolds of Houston.
