Born April 13, 1921 in Danby, NY she was the daughter of the late Henry M. and Amanda Tolonen Knuutila and wife of the late Charles F. Gee. Helen was a Lutheran and a member and Past President of the Ithaca Eagles Aerie #1253 Auxiliary. Helen was an amazing cook and baker, she loved her family and was very proud of them. A die hard Buffalo Bills fan, she also loved bowling, golfing, bird watching and putting puzzles together.
Helen is survived by her children, Roger (Lynn) Gee of CA, Shirley (Robert) Simpson of FL, Marilyn Bodnar of PA, Patricia Gee of TX and Debra (Joseph) Kosters of FL; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her daughter, Sandra Barron and siblings, Emil Knuutila, Ina Harpur, Irma Hogan, Anna Handsom, George Knuutila and Albert Knuutila.
