Connie Merritts Collins took the hand of her Lord and Savior on May 24, 2017, rejoicing in the streets of Glory in Heaven.
She was the daughter of Floyd and Ellen (Hinkle) Merritts.

She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, and siblings.

She strived to be on a mission to help those in different areas.

She at one time worked in street Ministry in Everett, Pennsylvania with an open street ministry house for those who needed a place to hang out for an evening, to be feed Earthly nourishment, and Spiritually feed the hope of Jesus and Salvation.

She was an author of a Prayer book.

She would open her home along with her family to house people in ministry and give shelter to those that were homeless or needed someone to talk too.

At one time she left her Clearville home to follow her husband to Texas for ministry. Then after a time away moved back to her roots in the Clearville area close to some of her family.

Connie was a very giving person, always concerned about others well-being and willing to help in whatever capacity. She would always share her gift of hospitality and loved her family.

Connie was of the Methodist Faith, serving as a lay minister within the Methodist Denomination. In past years she served as Youth Group Leader at the Clearville United Methodist Church.

Throughout the years Connie worked at the Lions Manufacturing in Everett and later working as a waitress at Dutch Pantry and Bob Evans in Breezewood. She was also employed later at Oral Roberts University, AmeriCorps and MHMR.

She started a radio program on WSKE called Cope. She was co-founder of the Christian Recreation Center serving as President and was a writer for the Mature Living publication. She enjoyed singing.
