Ella Mae "Teen" Bailey age 89 of Brownwood, formerly of Coleman, passed from this Earthly Life on May 22, 2017.

A Service of praise and celebration will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 27th, at the True Vine Baptist Church in Coleman with Elder Jerry Jordan as the Eulogist.

A visitation will be held Friday from 4:30-6:30 pm at the Brownwood Funeral Home, located at 2512 Belle Plain Brownwood TX.

Affectionately known as Teen, Ella Mae was born in Novice Texas, (Coleman County) on the Knox Ranch to Roy and Estella Richardson Holloway. The family later moved to Coleman to establish their homestead. Ella Mae was a 1947 Graduate of Humphrey High School. She met her sweetheart and married at the age of 18. To this brief union Wilbert Jr. was born. She later attended Cosmetology School in Midland TX, where she learned hair dressing skills. On any given Saturday you could find women and little girls, in the kitchen waiting to get their hair pressed and curled. After a 17 year separation Wilbert and Teen reunited and along with Tenessa and Stevie begin their new life together. From this union would come Wilma Jean.

Ella Mae worked for Clyde and Doris Allen for 44 years helping to rear Dorothy and Jack, whom she loved as her own. She was also a member of True Vine Baptist Church where she served faithfully until her health begin to decline and was unable to attend services.

Left to Cherish her memories are: her daughter, Wilma Henderson (Deric) of Brownwood TX, brother Roy Holloway (Mary) of DeSoto TX, step daughter; Elsie King (Markeesha, Elesceeya, Tiffany and Tara) of Midland TX, Son in-law Rene Payne of Coleman TX. Grandchildren: Nathan, Rusha, Joyce, Rene Jr., Chad, Jeremiah. Great-grandchildren Michael, Devonte, Devinar, Tre, Niya, Noah, Tenessa, Jaylyn. A host of nieces and nephews, greats and great-great nieces and nephews. Special friends Mrs. Clyde Allen, Dorothy Kellogg, and Jack Allen.

Ella Mae was preceded in death by Parents; Roy and Estella Holloway, husband Wilbert Bailey, sons Wilbert Bailey Jr., and Steven Thomas, daughter Tenessa Payne, siblings Robert Holloway, Johnny Holloway, Catherine Thomas, and Lee Holloway.

Special thanks to BRMC staff, CCMC staff, Encompass Home Health, Solaris Hospice, and caregiver, Brittany Higgs. Services entrusted to Brownwood Funeral Home.
