OSCEOLA - Frankie “Frank” Leon Bennett, 70, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.

Frank was born on November 13, 1946, in Sullivan, IN, to Paul Thomas and Bertha Elmira (Payne) Bennett. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Beverly Clark.

Frank is survived by his sons, Steve (Mickey) Bennett of North Liberty, Frankie Leon Bennett Jr. and Brian Lee Bennett of Osceola; two grandchildren, Gage Thomas Bennett and Aubrey Lin Bennett; sister, Nancy Floyd of Mishawaka; and brothers, Thomas Lee Bennett and Michael Eugene Bennett.

Frank was a truck driver for Horizon Transport before he retired. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served his country in Vietnam from 1967-1969 and was a member of the American Legion.

Funeral service will be on Friday, May 26, at 1 p.m., with visitation two hours prior in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka, where Military Rites will take place.
