Jody Lynn Potter, age 38, of Oak Hill, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 in an automobile accident. She was born in Gallipolis, Ohio on June 24, 1978, the daughter of Roger and Vicki Hughes.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Megan (Phillip) Sparks of Jackson; son, Dylan Potter, of Oak Hill; grandchildren, Kylie McCain and Madison Sparks, of Jackson and sister, Heather (Jason) Jones, of Oak Hill. Also surviving are nephews, Zac Shope, of Jackson and Colton Jones, of Oak Hill; uncle Eddie (Carol) Hughes, of Oak Hill; and cousins, April Lewis, of Oak Hill and Eddie Lee Hughes, of Jackson.
Jody is preceded in death by her grandparents, Lawrence and Rinda Vickers and William and Opal Hughes.
She graduated from Oak Hill High School, class of 1996. She enjoyed reading and singing.
Friends may call Friday, May 26, 2017 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM immediately following the calling hours with Pastor Randy Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in C.M. Cemetery.
