After graduating from CyFair High School he attended Texas Tech University and University of Houston. In 1999 Mike injured his back in an accident while at work and ultimately lost the use of his legs. He spent the last several years confined to a wheel chair. This did not slow Mike down. He loved the sport of drag racing and was involved in the sport through Competition Plus, Drag Racing's Internet Magazine. Mike was a "people person" very friendly and outgoing. People were amazed at his ability to be so helpful and friendly in his condition. He was loved by his associates and the people he lived with at the Ocean House assisted living facility in Santa Monica. He will be missed by all.
