Alda M. Cordeiro, 54, of Swansea, died Tuesday 8/3/10 at Miriam Hospital, Providence, after an illness. She was the longtime loving companion of Vital Oliveira. Born in Ribeira Grande, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Antonio B. & Maria (Mare) Pacheco, she emigrated to Fall River in 1971 and resided in Swansea for the past 10 years.
She was employed in the local textile industry for over 30 years. She enjoyed membership in the Banda Filarmonica St. Cecilia. Mother of: Steven Oliveira and Jennifer Resendes both of Fall River. Sister of Antonio, Jose, Ildeberto, Hermano & Pedro Pacheco, Filomena Melo, Helena Camara and Maria Sousa all of Fall River, and Eusebio Pacheco of Dartmouth. She also leaves 6 grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.
Her funeral Mass was celebrated in Santo Christo Church. She was laid to rest at Notre Dame Cemetery Fall river MA.
