A son of the late William and Julia Osborne Arthur, Jerry attended Bethel United Methodist Church, was retired from CSXT Railroad where he had worked in Russell, KY, Cumberland, MD, and Cincinnati. He was a licensed Auctioneer for over forty years, a Realtor, and a licensed Barber having owned a shop in Wheelersburg. Jerry was also a U.S. Air Force Veteran, a former President of IBEW Local Union in Cincinnati, a 32nd Degree Mason with the Bethel Lodge # 61 F & AM, a Kentucky Colonel, and Member of the American Legion Post 0406.Jerry loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Penny Sowards Arthur; daughters, Kendra (David) Hannah, Shawnda (Richard) Whitely, Michelle (Gary) Pennington Wallace, Melissa (Jamie) Pennington Dahlheimer; a son, Randy (Robyn) Lewis; grandchildren, David, Casey, and Drew Hannah, Nikki Davis, Amanda Timberlake, Taylor Coe, Hannah and Hunter Wallace, Jacob, Caleb and Morgan Dahlheimer, Jarred Enyart, Erin Lewis, Ashley Ross, Alison Beach; twelve great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sue Ann (Bill) May of Wheelersburg.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Burnice Johnson; a brother, Richard Arthur; and his first wife, Pauline Fisher Arthur.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2017 at WOLFE-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in Sciotoville with Pastor Bob Morrow officiating. Interment will follow at McKendree Cemetery with military rites provided by James Dickey Post #23, American Legion.
