Mother: Margaret Templin Honicker
SHAMOKIN — Catherine L. Honicker, 92, of 6791 Upper Road, passed away at 2:10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, in the residence of her great-nephew and his wife, William and Robin Orme.
Born June 29, 1920, in Shamokin, she was a daughter of the late George M. and Margaret (Templin) Honicker. She lived for more than 20 years in Camp Hill.
She was a 1938 graduate of Shamokin High School.
She served in the U.S. Women's Army Corps during World War II and Korea, attaining the rank of master sergeant.
Catherine worked as an accounting analyst for the Pennsylvania state government.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.
Surviving are her nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Morlock, Gladys Ballentine, Harriet Cleary, Mary Orme, Edith Perry, Margaret Tumalo and Elizabeth Culp, and a brother, George Honicker.

HONICKER — Catherine L. Honicker, 92, of 6791 Upper Road, Shamokin. Funeral services will be held at noon Friday at the Farrow Funeral Home, Sixth and Chestnut streets, Shamokin, with the Rev. Sandra Whary officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Coal Township. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Friday at the funeral home.
