Patty had a life well lived filled with fun, friends and faith. She was known for her kindness and hugs and never met a stranger. She lived with a joy and zest few people ever get to experience.
Born prematurely with Down Syndrome and a congenital stomach blockage, nonetheless Patty survived to grow into the beautiful child of God she was.
She is survived by her sister, Cyndy (Chris) Herms, Elkhart, IN; her brother, Joseph (Sheliah) Massey, Temecula, CA; her nephews, Spencer (Jen) Herms, Denver, CO; Sam Herms, Elkhart, IN; her nieces, Shelby Herms, Mishawaka, IN; Savannah Herms, St. Louis, MO; Cristin (Corey) Wondergem, Temecula, CA; Carin Massey, Grants Pass, OR; and Caitlyn Massey, Temecula, CA. She is also survived by one Aunt, Lydia (Tom) Sharp and many cousins. Her mother and father preceded her in death.
A celebration of her well lived life will be held later this year and include her many friends from Corvilla, a South Bend, IN agency that serves the disabled, where she lived in their Bulla Home and had many happy years.
The family requests no flowers be sent but rather contributions in her honor be made to Corvilla, 3620 Deahl Ct., South Bend, IN 46628 (corvilla.org).
