John Wesley Dabney, 62, of Glenwood, Mo. passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2009, at his home. The son of Henry Ivyl and Jennetta Dabney, he was born Oct. 3, 1946, in Savannah, Iowa. He married Vada Sue Self in Liberty, Mo. in 1964 they later divorced and then he married Glenda Renee Riley. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Archie L. Dabney and sister Dee Garrett.
He is survived by his children, Jerry Wayne Dabney of Cole Camp, Mo., Mickie Michelle Dabney of Kansas City, Mo and Sean Wesley Dabney of Kirksville, Mo. Five grandchildren, two brothers D.D. Dabney and Nonie of Lancaster, Mo., and DeWayne Dabney and Kim of Kaufman, Texas, one sister Connie Joos and husband Richard of Independence, Mo., one sister-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Saturday August 22, 2009, at the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Mo.
