Polly Elizabeth Tyler Edwards, 97, of Ft. Collins, Colorado died Friday February 9, 2007 in Loveland, Colorado.

She was born October 8, 1909 in Miles, Texas to John Tyler and Mancil Fredonia Frey Tyler. She graduated from Miles High School. On August 27, 1928 Polly married Ernest F. (Babe) Edwards and lived in Winters until 1957. Her two sons Earl F. Edwards and Jon H. Edwards, M.D. were born in Winters. In 1957 the family moved to Ballinger. In 1965, Polly moved to San Angelo where she lived until 1995 when she moved to Ft. Collins, Colorado. In Winters and Ballinger she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and in San Angelo she was a member of the first Baptist Church.

She is survived by 2 sons: Earl F. Edwards of Ft. Collins, Colorado and Jon H. Edwards, M.D. of New York, New York, 2 grandsons: Morgan Tyler Edwards and wife Colette and great- grandsons Payton Tyler Edwards and Bentley Winston Edwards of San Antonio, Texas, Marcus Todd Edwards and wife Jennifer and great-grandson Todd Edwards of Loveland, Colorado; 5 nieces: Glenodine Holman of Lamesa, Texas, Gloria Hoover of Austin, Texas, Mary Lucille Loftis of Tyler, Texas, Patsy Edwards of Burleson, Texas and Evelyn Eagle of Tucker, Georgia; 2 nephews: Allen Tyler of Austin, Texas and William E. Gipson of Houston, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest F. Edwards, infant daughter Donna Ann Edwards, her parents, her sisters Lucille Esmond, Drucie Hollister, Nettie Edwards, Minnie Boykin and brothers, Arthur, Henry, William and Otto Tyler and her daughter-in-law Therese Edwards.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Hospice of Larimer County, 305 Carpenter Road, Ft. Collins, Colorado, 80525.

Flowers can be sent to the Winters Funeral Home at 120 State Street, Winters, Texas 79567.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday February 18, 2007 in the Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barry Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery directed by Winters Funeral Home.
