Gladys Leggett Barnes, 87, passed away early Thursday morning at the SECU Hospice House of Smithfield surrounded by her loving family. Gladys was born in Johnston County on January 11, 1930 to the late Johnny and Sarah Evans Leggett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Johnny Leggett.
