Pauline Ruth Painter, 86, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017 in Bradley. Pauline was born Saturday, November 22, 1930 in Fort Cobb to Daniel Frank and Eva Francis (Stone) Roberts.

She attended school in Broxton and Sterling Schools. She married Hurschel Strong in 1948, and lived in Michigan until 1968, then moved back to Oklahoma, the couple later divorced in 1970. She later married her 2nd. husband, Owen Thomas Painter in 1971. Pauline lived in the Rush Springs and Sterling area most of her later life. Her hobbies included crocheting and knitting, she made table clothes, afghans, doilies, and she made many things for her kids over the years. Her happiest times were spent with her grand kids and great grand kids. She attended the Alex Church of Christ.

Survivors include, son, Johnny Strong and his wife Kathryn of Wixom, MI; daughter, Mary Midkiff of Bradley; daughter, Kathy Ball and husband Rodney of Rush Springs. She is also survived by grandson, Stephen Strong; granddaughter, Angela Strong; granddaughter, Trisha Stewart; grandson, Joseph Slawson; granddaughter, Amanda Slawson; 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Thomas Painter, ex-husband, Hurschel Strong, granddaughter, Lisa Strong; brothers, Kenneth Roberts and Dan Roberts; sisters, Wanda Fay Strong, Lela May Guess and Mary Ann Blaine.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 25, 2017, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs with Rev. Clem Cassmeyer and Rev. Danny Stewart officiating. Burial will be in the Bradley Cemetery.
