Lloyd E. Henderson, 83, of Geddes, passed away Saturday at the Syracuse VA Medical Center. He was born in Monocacy, PA to the late Joseph and Nina (Lanphere) Henderson in 1933. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. Lloyd was employed by Niagara Mohawk for over 36 years before retiring in 1993 as a Test Specialist. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 2348, Niagara Mohawk's 25 Year Club and the I.B.E.W. He was predeceased by 5 brothers. Lloyd is survived by his wife of 62 years, the former Dorothy Shay, daughter; Suzanne (Robert) Henderson-Kendrick, of Lakeland, 2 grandchildren; Brooke and Eric, both of Lakeland, and many nieces and nephews. Lloyd's family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to his caregiver Rifka Skarupa for her kindness and dedication. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 12:15 pm in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Onondaga County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse. Family and friends may call from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm Thursday prior to services at the funeral home, 2601 Milton Avenue. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Advocates, 636 Old Liverpool Rd, Liverpool, NY 13088.
