Obituary
Patricia Gwendolyn "Pat" Williams was born January 14, 1934 in Brownsboro, TX to Hoss and Bell Perry. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Rudy Williams; sons Elton Lee, Stephen Andrew and Jeffrey Dan; father, Steve G. "Hoss" Perry; mother, Tabitha I. "Bell" Perry; and brother Wendell Perry. Survivors include her daughter, Pamela Williams Provin, her son Robby Provin, and Dennis Provin, Robby's father; Greg Williams and his wife Nancy; Angela Williams Mullino; Anda Williams Upchurch and her husband, Jonathan; 5 great-grandchildren, Sean, Ryan, Christian, Sidney and Jonathan; SIblings, SG Perry; Sue Featherston; Fairlye Perry; Leslie Perry and his wife Sondra; and many extended family members.
The oldest of 5 children, her father being a farmer she grew up in the farmlands of East Texas from Brownsboro to Ennis. At the age of 14 she married the love of her life, Rudy Williams. After their marriage, Rudy served in the U.S. Airforce and she loved her years as a wife of a veteran. 5 years later they started their family. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker for many years and in 1970 she wanted to return to the workforce outside of the home.
Pat began her 24 year career with DISD in the lunchrooms of B.H. Macon, Burleson Elementary and Fred F. Florence Junior High. In 1974, she transferred to H. Grady Spruce as a youth advisor leaving Spruce in 1978 to go to Skyline High School as a PBX Operator and Permanent Records Clerk. She loved her work as she was with the kids....not just her kids as she considered all the students "HER KIDS" and her coworkers became family.
Pat was a very talented seamstress, enjoyed crocheting, cooking, singing, bluebonnets, poetry, casino slot machines and a love for life. Her strength and conviction of Christian faith were her driving forces. She never failed to offer loving optimism and devotion for all who knew her and had a million dollar smile. If you knew her, she considered you family. Blessed with the gift of conversation, she never met a stranger! For the remainder of her life she was a caregiver for family and friends.
She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, cousin and aunt. Her most cherished names were Mother and Granny as she and Rudy considered their children their greatest accomplishment.
Our selfish human hearts will mourn and grieve yet we rejoice knowing she is walking the streets of gold with Jesus and her loved ones, singing and talking every step of the way.
