Paul A. Smeltzer, 79, of Lower Windsor Township, died Thursday, February 6, 2003 at 7:50 a.m. at his residence.

He was the husband of Alma E. (Poff) Smeltzer. Mr. and Mrs. Smeltzer observed their 61st wedding anniversary on January 31, 2003.

Born April 23, 1923 in Lower Windsor Township, York County, he was a son of the late Edward and Orah M. (Snell) Smeltzer.

He retired in 1985 as a crane operator from York International with 45 years of service to the company. He was a founding member of Calvary Bible Church in Lower Windsor Township.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Holly Hubley of Windsor; son, William Smeltzer of Middletown, NJ; three grandchildren, Kelly Heiges, Deborah Dumont and Derek Hubley; three greatgrandchildren, Britny Heiges, Brandon Hubley and Alexander Dumont; and three sisters, Miriam Mitzel of Red Lion, Lillian Anderson of Felton, and Joyce Taylor of York. He was predeceased by a brother, James Smeltzer and a sister, Bertha Silar.

A funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 10th at Calvary Bible Church, 125 Calvary Church Rd., Wrightsville. Church is located on the outskirts of East Prospect. Officiating will be his pastor, Pastor Joe Fauth.

Burial in Mount Rose Cemetery. Viewings will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Service, 700 Hellam St., Wrightsville and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Bible Church, 125 Calvary Church Rd., Wrightsville, PA 17368.
