James worked his entire adult life for Continental Airlines, starting shortly after high school. His nickname at work was "Bear". He started out loading airplanes and concluded his career as a payload specialist at the downtown location of Continental. His co-workers will remember him as one who would work holidays, so co-workers could enjoy the holiday with their family.
He is survived by 3 brothers, Jerry McFarlin, Terry McFarlin of Pasadena, Texas, and Blaine McFarlin of Hampshire, Texas along with 1 niece, Sarah Alley and 3 nephews Tory McFarlin, Jeff McFarlin and Chad McFarlin, along with 3 great nieces and 3 great nephew. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Patricia McFarlin.
