At an early age George became a member of Hills C.M.E Church in Crofton, KY.
He was a graduate of Lincoln Institute, in Lincoln ridge KY and a graduate of west Virgins State College where he majored in Sociology.
George Served in the Army during WWII and received two battle stars
He worked as a mail handler for the L & N Railroad in Crofton, Ky. He also worked as a technician at both Western State Hospital and Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, KY.
In 1968 he became a minister in the C.M.E Church, his first church in Union Town Ky. He was a minister for many churches in the Ky Region and served as a Trustee on the Kentucky Region Annual Conference.
At the time of death He was the pastor of Lane Tabernacle C.M.E Church in Hopkinsville
