Samuel "Sam" D. Allen
December 18, 1935 - March 13, 2016

Samuel D. Allen "Sam", 80, of Truxton, MO passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 13, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Mary (nee Hill) Allen; stepfather, Melvin Engalage; and brother, Donald Allen.

Sam is survived by his loving wife, Norma (nee Bannister), children, Deborah (Kevin) Carroll, Kathleen (Mark) Van Dillen, Michael (Juanita) Allen, Dianna (the late Tim) Carroll, and Kristina Allen; 12 grandchildren, Joseph, Daniel, and William Carroll, Christine (Eike) Flach, Kayla Van Dillen, David Allen, Mary Allen, Emily Carroll, Anna Carroll, Jennifer Byington, Sarah (Robert) Burkhardt, and Cynthia Byington; and 2 great grandchildren, Demi Byington and Thea Christine Flach.

Sam was a good Christian who loved his family deeply. He enjoyed country music, hunting, fishing, Hank Williams, and his dogs. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known him.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home. Interment at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
