Richard A. “Dick” Clark, of Trout Run, passed away with family by his side on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Muncy Valley Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, the former June Kladler, originally from Hampton, Va.

Born April 18, 1934 in Williamsport, he is a son of the late Harold L. and Catherine (Mitcheltree) Clark Sr.

Dick was a 1952 graduate of Williamsport High School and also attended Williamsport Technical Institute. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1955-1957 as a radar operator for national defense with the 56th AAA Missile Battalion at Fort Monroe, Va. Dick was employed by Edwards Motor Transit Company, UPS, Shirn’s Pontiac/GMC/Cadillac and retired from AVCO/Lycoming Engines as an engine assembler and tester.

Dick was a charter member of the Road Knights, a local hot rod car club, the Williamsport Go-Kart Club and the Keystone Sportsmen Association.

He enjoyed trap shooting and hunting, radio controlled airplanes, displaying at antique engine shows, motorcycles and auto racing, particularly sprint cars. He crewed for several dirt track motorcycle and sprint car racing teams.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Michael J. (Deborah) Clark, of Trout Run, and David E. Clark, of Hughesville; two grandsons and two great-grandsons.

Dick was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister, Harold L. Clark Jr., James E. Clark and Joanne C. Smith.

A graveside service to honor the life of Richard will be held privately at Wildwood Cemetery.
