He graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and served in the United States Navy during World War II. Mr. Marshall married Beuna Belle Whitney Pettit on July 31, 1970 in Dallas. She preceded him in death on June 29, 2010. He was an upholsterer for the Simmons Mattress Company for 41 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include four sons, Ronny Marshall and wife, DiAnne of Crandall, Texas, Bobby Don Marshall of Farmers Branch, Texas, Mark Marshall and wife, Susan of Lewisville, Texas, and Keith Pettit and wife, Gini of Bluff Dale, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Elleen Pettit of Pattonville; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren with two on the way; one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; and his loving dog, Rusty Bob.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; one sister; and one step-son.
Funeral services are set for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 23, 2017 in the chapel of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Dodson officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery in Deport.
