Charles E. Gregoire, 83, of Silver Ridge Park North section of Berkeley Twp., NJ passed away Monday, February 17, 2014 at home. Born in Newark, NJ, Charles was a longtime resident of Nutley, NJ before moving to Berkeley Twp. in 1996. He was a Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service in Belleville, NJ for 30 years, retiring in 1991. He was a parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Berkeley Twp. Charles served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Silver Ridge Park North Men’s Club. He was also an avid boater and fisherman. Surviving are his wife of 61 years Mare Antoinette (nee Biondi), a daughter and son in law Marie Antoinette and Fred Canonico of Matawan, NJ, a son and daughter in law C.T. and Maggie Gregoire of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, 2 brothers Dan and Eugene, 2 sisters Florence Connors and Agnes Gavin, and 3 grandchildren Gerard Canonico, Danielle & Deanna Gregoire. The family will receive friends Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday 10:30am at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Berkeley Twp. Entombment to follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
