Joseph W. Kuhl, age 79, of Toledo, passed away at home on Monday, May 15, 2017. He was born on June 24, 1937 in Blissfield, Michigan to Floyd and Imogene (Harroun) Kuhl. Joseph earned his Bachelor of Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and the University of Toledo. He was employed in the elevator industry throughout his career, at Schindler Elevator, National Elevator, and most recently as a Field Engineer for Am-Tech. An avid boater, he owned four boats over the years, and was a member of the Bay View Yacht Club since 1997. He also enjoyed being a ham radio operator.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Peggie (Blakeley) Kuhl; son, Kevin (Dorothy) Kuhl; daughters, Nancy (Mike) Bednarz and Diane (Mike) Conover; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister, Marie (Mitch) Budzon; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Kuhl; and sister, Ruth Winterhalter.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 20 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Bay View Yacht Club, 3902 Summit St, Toledo, Ohio followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 1 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 419-476-9176.
