Mollie Akin, age 88 of old Highway 5 of Blue Ridge, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Stonehenge Assisted Living Center in Blairsville. Mollie was born January 31, 1929 in Polk Co., TN to the late Balus Samuel Akin and the late Bessie Elizabeth Akin. She was a member of Epworth First Baptist Church. She worked 29 years as a dietitian at Epworth Elementary School. Ms. Akin was preceded in death by son, Steven Akin, brothers, Douglas E Akin and Edward B Akin.
Funeral services: Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 3:00 pm at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, McCaysville, GA. Interment will follow in Epworth First Baptist Church Cemetery.
