Evansville, Ind. — Leland Dale Vaught, 76, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011, at Heritage Center. He was born May 13, 1934, in St. Louis, Mo.
He was a member of AMVETS and served in the Army during the Korean War as a demolition expert. He retired from ALCOA after 34 years of service. He loved offshore fishing at Panama City Beach and basting in the sun. He also enjoyed golfing, photography, and spending time with his friends and family at Leroy's.
Dale was preceded in death by his son, Kyle Allen Vaught.
He is survived by his daughter, Debra J. Waelde (Robert); son, Devin T. Vaught (Andrea); grandchildren, Travis and Trevor Arvin, Mason and Chase Waelde, Devin T. Vaught II and Ashley Paige Whitney; step-grandchildren, Alisha Didia and Ryan Waelde; 11 great-grandchildren.
