Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15th, at Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel, Duncan, with the Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Interment will follow at Claud Cemetery, Claud, Okla. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
She was born April 20, 1913, the 11th of 12 children, in Ara, which is now Claud, to William Thomas Sr. and Cynthia Evelyn (Love) Bryant. Sallie married Alfred Monroe "A.M." Gregston on Jan. 13, 1937, in Duncan. He preceded her in death on Aug. 19, 1992.
Her enjoyments in life were making quilts and cooking. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church West.
Survivors include three sons and their wives, Wallace and Debbie Gregston of Antlers, Okla., Terry and Gerri Gregston of Spring City, Tenn., and Lyndol and Joyce Gregston of Winder, Ga.; a daughter, Deanna Allen of Duncan; grandson, Gary Gregston and his daughter Summer of Duncan; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and good friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Jerry Wayne and James Monroe Gregston; four brothers, Walter, Frank, Tom and James Edward (Pene) Bryant; seven sisters, Ophelia and Cordelia Bryant, Amanda Black, Mollie Layn, Maggie Oliver, Ada Repp and Myrtle Matthews.
Pallbearers will be Alvin Oliver, W.C. Matthews, Kenneth Ketchum, Joe Graham and John Graham.
Honorary bearers are Jerb Bryant and Bo Bryant.
Memorial gifts may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
