John Dorsey Cole, age 86 of Ellijay, formerly of Mineral Bluff, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 at the Cameron Hall Assisted Living Facility in Ellijay. Mr. Cole was born March 15, 1931 in Mineral Bluff, GA to the late Frank Cole and the late Winifred Warren Cole. A member of the Mineral Bluff First Baptist Church and a retiree of the USAF, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Edith Welsh Cole, second wife, JoAnn Cole, five siblings, Alvin Cole, Warren Cole, Lucille Cole Bubsey, J.D. Cole, and Doyle Cole. In his spare time, John enjoyed being outdoors and activities such as hunting, fishing, gardening and taking walks with his dogs.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Mineral Bluff First Baptist Church with. Interment will follow in Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery.
