Henry E. Coenen, 73, died at his home in Warwick, ND on Thursday, April 15, 1971.
Henry Eugene Coenen was born August 4, 1897 at Page, ND to Paul and Josephine (Keene) Coenen. He married Clara Erickson on April 9, 1932 and they farmed near Warwick, ND. Survivors are his wife and seven children: Mrs. Gerard (Ramona) Allmaras, New Rockford; Mrs. Jay (Marjorie) Rice, Maddock; Eugene (Dixie) Coenen, in the U.S. Air Force stationed at Abilene, Texas; Jackie (Ruth) Coenen, Warwick; Mrs. Barry (Darlene) Palmer, Creswell, Oregon; Russell (Inez) Coenen, Red Lake Falls, Minnesota; Mrs. Larry (Carol) Pewe, Edinburg, ND. Also among the survivors are 21 grandchildren, five sisters and five brothers.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Warwick Lutheran Church. Rev. O.S. Winther conducted the family service and Father A. Bitz celebrated the funeral Mass. Alter boys were four grandsons: Daniel, Dennis and Russell Allmaras and Rory Coenen. Active pallbearers were Richard Bye, Darroll Hanson, Vernon Kolstad, Bill Reeves, Leonard Peterson and Chester Loe. Honorary pallbearers were Harris Wishart, Bill Wishart, Gothard Jacobson, Archie Campbell, Norman Anderson, Hubert Carlson, Orlo Christofferson and Leslie Eggelston. Soloist Lloyd Olson was accompanied by Mrs. Rueben Syverson.
Burial was in the Warwick Cemetery.
