BLOOMFIELD — Robert Allen West, 62, of 104 E. Poplar, died February 3, 2015, at his home. He was born June 9, 1952, in Ottumwa, Iowa, to Gilbert and Della Russell West. He married Connie Marts on July 26, 1974. A graduate of Ottumwa High School in 1972, he farmed near Milton and in Wapello County. He had been a member of the Wapello County Sheriff's Reserves. He was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Bloomfield. Surviving are his wife, Connie; a daughter, Sally (Dustin) Heckethorn of Milton; two grandchildren, Tristen Marks and D.J. Heckethorn; two step-grandchildren, Cameron and Grace Heckethorn; two brothers, Gary (Joan) West of Ottumwa and Russ (Connie) Bennett of Sigourney and a sister, Delores Taylor of Clarksville, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dick Bennett and Roy West and a sister, Alice England. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Shipley officiating. Burial will be in Floris Cemetery.
