Melva Earline Craig Payne, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away at home surrounded by her family on May 19, 2017. She was born to Leonard and Clara Craig on April 22, 1943. On April 27, 1962, she married her sweetheart Johnny Boy Payne. They were married for 53 years upon his death in 2015. She is survived by five children: Lennie (Sharee), Patsy (Shelby), Penny (Michael), Trisha (Mark), and Dennis (Traci); seven grandkids: Stephen (Heather), Mark Jr., Krista, Taylor, Daniel, Eli, and Emersyn; one great-grandson: Slade. She had eight siblings and is survived by one brother Barney Craig. She loved to cook and shop on HSN and QVC. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home on Monday, May 22, 2017, from 10 a.m. until funeral service at 1 p.m. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Twin Pines Cemetery in Holden, LA.
