Alice Ann (Beyer) Bottorff, 70, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

She was born March 17, 1947, in Shelbyville, the daughter of John J. Jr. and Betty E. (Cunningham) Beyer.

Alice is survived by her daughters, Laura King of Riverview, Florida and Sarah Owens of Anderson; daughter-in-law, Donna Bottorff of Indianapolis; siblings, Stephan A. Beyer and wife, Shirley, of Prescott, Rose Mary Sheedy of Tipton, Thomas E. Beyer and wife, Mary, of Geneva, Michael J. Beyer of Shelbyville, and Timothy S. Beyer of Greensburg; grandchildren, A. J. Young, Alex Young, Alysha Young, Johna Bottorff, Danielle Bottorff, Hannah Owens and Delton Owens; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, John S. Bottorff Jr.; and brother, Paul D. Beyer.

Alice graduated from Waldron High School in 1965, and obtained an associate degree from Ivy Tech College in business.

She was an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and St. Ann’s Altar Society.

Alice formerly worked in insurance claims, until she retired in 2013.

She enjoyed researching her family genealogy.

Alice loved her grandchildren and cherished the time she spent with them.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville, with the rosary recited at 3:30 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 26, 2017 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 4218 E. Michigan Road in Shelbyville.

Interment will be at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery in Shelbyville.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
