A lifelong resident and icon of New Gloucester, she was born March 19, 1936, a daughter of the late Foye and Ada Morrison Wescott.
She graduated from Mechanic Falls High School.
Mrs. Hodgman and her family own and operate Hodgeman's Frozen Custard in New Gloucester and was an active member of the New Gloucester Congregational Church, Fireside Club, AMVETS, Senior Citizens of Cumberland County and was a volunteer at the Androscoggin Hospice House.
She enjoyed helping people, ceramics, reading, antiques, camping and loved spending time with her grandchildren at her camp on North Pond.
Mrs. Hodgman will be remembered for loving her family and by loving her cats and her goats and by being so kind and being the love and strength behind her family and for running the familly business. She was a loving mom and wife and grandmother to many, even ones not her blood.
She is survived by her husband and soul mate of 63 years, Kenneth Hodgman of New Gloucester; her son, Scott and wife, Debbie Hodgman, of New Gloucester; her daughter, Kathy Colbroth and companion, Clayton Tripp, of Lewiston; son-in-law, Joe Langlois of New Gloucester; six grandchildren, April, Amanda, Christopher, Matthew, Brian and James.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Langlois, on April 19, 2017; and a sister, Nancy Wescott.
