Dan A. Russell, age 79, of Adrian, died May 18, 2017, at Hospice of Lenawee Hospice Home.

He was born February 17, 1938, in Adrian to Oscar and Alberta (Youngs) Russell. He served in the U.S. Army. Dan enlisted in the Michigan National Guard in 1956 as part of Company B 126th Infantry. He worked as a Tool and Dye Maker for Brazeway in Adrian for over 40 years. Dan enjoyed gardening, bird watching and was a WWII history buff.

Dan is survived by three daughters, Natalie (Allen) Brenke of Tipton, Annette (Allen) Roesch of Adrian, and Audra (Dale) Wingerd of Clinton; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his first wife, Beverly Russell of Clinton; a sister, Pam of Alabama; a brother-in-law, Doug Beach of Seattle, Washington; and two nieces, Sheila and Erin. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Renee Beach; a granddaughter, Kassie Wingerd; and a great-grandson, Caden Brenke.

Funeral Services for Dan will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with Pastor Greg Burdine officiating. Burial will be in Raisin Valley Friends Cemetery with full military rites, conducted by the American Legion Post #97 and V.F.W. Post #1584 Annis-Fint. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian. You may send condolences to the family at www.andersonfuneralservices.com.
