Age 68 of Lew Storch Rd. Elmira passed away after a long illness.

Larry was born in Towanda, PA to the late Harrison and Jane (Ewald) Bishop Jr.

He is survived by his siblings, Harrison Bishop of Horseheads, Mary (Bob)Brewer of Elmira Heights, Joyce Bishop of Horseheads, Nancy Bishop of Big Flats, Catherine (Mark) Storch of Big Flats, Jane (Mark) Sozanski of Elmira, NY; Beloved beagle “Susie” and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Barbara Payne. Larry was a veteran of the US Army serving in Vietnam.  In addition, he worked in the building trades with his father. He was an avid hunter, especially deer hunting, devoted NY Mets fan and a lover of muscle cars including his Plymouth Challenger. 

Larry was also a member of the Big Flats American Legion.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads on Wed. May 17, 2017 from 4-6:00 pm.  A brief time of sharing and stories will take place at 6:00 pm.

Burial service with military honors will take place on Thurs May 18, 2017 at 11:30 am in Maple Grove Cemetery where military honors will be accorded.  Condolences atwww.barberfuneralhome.com
