"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."
-Revelation 21:4

Actress, model, host and voice-over artist and entrepreneur. She worked in theatre, film, television, commercials, industrials and voice-overs. Known for her enthusiasm, intelligence, determination and drive, Brandi L. Davis was an emerging talent on the rise.

The Washington, D.C. native attended the prestigious Duke Ellington School of the Performing Arts where she majored in ballet and tap but later changed to acting. Upon graduation, she briefly majored in Nursing at the University of the District of Columbia but later went on to pursue acting full time.

Her first major performance was in the role of "Gloria" in the stage play "Like Father, Like Son" at the historic Lincoln Theatre in Washington, D.C. She won the prestigious Actor's Center Award in 2005 for her portrayal of "Gloria." She also toured as part of a two person theatrical production in "Life Every Voice: Walking Montgomery-The Voices of the Montgomery Bus Boycott" where she played four different characters Rosa Parks, Coretta Scott King, Georgia Gilmore and Joanne Robinson for the Smithsonian Museum. It was during this time that she was seen by a casting director. From there she went on to sign with other casting directors and talent agencies; such as, Pat Moran, Diane Heery, Mike Lemon, Modeling Management Agency, Central Casting and Emerging Talent in New York City.

On camera, Davis secured a principal role as Nancine Nance Owens an attorney on the hard hitting gritty crime drama The Wire on HBO. Other television credits included principal roles in local commercials including BET (PSA), Regency Furniture, CarMax, Foster Care, Lockhead Martin, Amtrak (National Ad Campaign 08), PBS Kids, the American Red Cross, and Next Day Blinds just to name a few.

After the death of her father in 2010, she put her acting career on hold to take care of her ailing mother. After the death of her mother in 2014, she engaged in several entrepreneurial pursuits and travelled extenstively. Before her untimely passing, she had the opportunity to visit such places as Italy, the Caribbean, Las Vegas, and Miami.

She was a big fan of Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, and Mariah Carey. She also loved the Washington Redskins (even when they lost).

Brandi prayed the prayer of salvation and gave her life to Jesus Christ in March 2015. She passed away at the age of 36 and will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

WEEP NOT FOR ME

Weep not for me though I am gone
Into the gentle night
Grieve if you will, but not for long
Upon my souls sweet flight.

There is no need for tears.
I am at peace, my soul is at rest
There is no pain, I suffer not,
For with your love I was blessed.

I am in a place of comfort
The fear now is gone

Put those things out of your thoughts
In your memory I live on.

Remember not my fight for breath
Remember not strife
Please do not dwell upon my death
But celebrate my life.
