Michael L. Sullens passed away in Hollister at the age of 75. He was born in Grinnell, IA and lived in Hollister for the past 47 years, teaching and being the librarian at San Benito High School. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska and his master's degree from the University of San Francisco. He married his wife, Patricia, in 1963 in Omaha, NE and served his country honorably in the US Air Force in the 1960s. He enjoyed woodcarving, camping in the desert and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Sullens of Hollister, his daughters and their husbands, Kristyn Michael Knauff (Daniel) of Hollister and Julie Canez (Eddie of Hollister and his grandchildren Sydney Elizabeth Knauff, Kinsey Canez and Michael Canez.
Private cremation will be followed by private inurnment at St. Benedict's Columbarium.
