Bessie Mai Moore, age 86 of Goodletsville, TN, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017. She is the wife of the late Andrew J. Moore and the daughter of the late Riley Richard and Susie Anna Spann Barrett.

Graveside service will be 10 AM Monday, May 22, 2017 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Moore is survived by a nephew, Andy Barrett and his wife Marcella of Hendersonville; and two sisters, Robbie L. Barrett, and Vera Williams and her husband Tom; and several other nieces and nephews.

She is also preceded in death by three brothers, Andrew Barrett, Malcolm Barrett and Elwood Barrett; and three sisters, Mary J. Barrett, Myrtle Barrett and Gracie Gingrich.

Mrs. Moore grew up in the Walter Hill Community and went to Walter Hill High School. After receiving her diploma she went on to graduate from Nashville Beauty School. Later she acquired her nursing degree from Metro General Hospital and worked at MTMC and then Murfreesboro Veterans Administration Medical Center for 28 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Murfreesboro.
