Funeral services for Mrs. Gracie Wilodean Tosh Jones, 96, will be held at 11:00A.M. Monday, May 22, 2017, in Englewood Christian Church, with Minister Wayne Fenner officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Born May 19, 1920 in McKenzie, Tennessee to Verlie and William Tosh, Mrs. Jones died Monday, May 15, 2017 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was a member of Englewood Christian Church, the Christian Women's Fellowship at the church and the China -Burma-India Veterans Association. She had been a member of the Hogan Spring Glen Elementary and the Englewood High School PTA's and drove the Englewood High School band wagon.
The widow of William Frank Jones, Sr., Mrs. Jones was predeceased by a son, William Frank Jones, Jr. and a daughter, Martha Jane Jones. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Josephine Jones (Gary) Swallow; a son, David Michael Jones; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Jones, all of Jacksonville; a brother, Milford (Frances) Tosh of Humboldt, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Brian Swallow, Kimberly Jones, Amy Jones Saladino, Emily Swallow, Jeffrey Jones and Daniel Jones; and three great-grandchildren, Jones Swallow, Sawyer Swallow, and Frankie Saladino.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South, where the family will receive friends from 2:00P.M. until 4:00P.M. on Sunday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Englewood Christian Church.
