Funeral Services for Mary Jane Hoge will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Grace Presbyterian Church, 4900 Jackson St, Alexandria, LA, with Pastor Dr. Robert Vincent, Pastor Dr. William Lindner, and Associate Pastor Bryan Rhodes officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held at John Kramer & Son Funeral Home, 2905 Masonic Drive, Alexandria, LA from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Friday, May 19, 2017, and resume from 9:00 A.M. until time of service on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Grace Presbyterian Church.

Mary Jane Hoge, 73, a native of North Carolina and a local elementary teacher of 26 years passed into the arms of her loving savior on May 17, 2017. She was an active member of Grace Presbyterian Church for 33 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother who was personally and exceptionally devoted to the wellbeing of her family. “She fought the good fight, and lived life fully in a manner to emulate.”

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Calvin V. Hoge; their three children, Stanley C. Hoge (Jacque) of Alabaster, AL, Brian F. Hoge, and Heather H. Pitts (Michael), 8 grandchildren; and one brother, Billy N. Reece of East Bend, N.C.

Mary Jane was preceded in death by parents, William F. Reece and Annie N. Reece of Jonesville, NC; and her sister, Linda R. Kennerly of High Point, NC.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be Matthew Pitts, Cade Hoge, John Lowe, Danny Starkey, Micah Hoge, and Tyler Byrd.
