Cynthia Ida Jolley Asay, 71, died Sunday, June 30, 1985 in the North Big Horn Hospital in Lovell where she had been a patient for two days. She was born April 29, 1914 in Lovell, the daughter of Lorenzo and Malita Cross Spencer Jolley. She grew up and attended school in Lovell. She married Kenneth B. Asay September 17, 1932 in Billings, Montana. He died April 20, 1981. Mrs. Asay was an active member of the LDS Church and enjoyed reading church history and doing genealogical research work. She also enjoyed working in her yard and garden.
Survivors include two sons, Kent Bradford Asay of Casper, Wyoming and Don Al Asay of Boise, Idaho, one daughter, Berniece Asay of Salt Lake City, Utah, one sister Louise Hawley of Powell, Wyoming, 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Howard Kenneth and Carl Maswell Asay, one daughter June Malcom, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 3, 1985 at 10:00 a.m. in the LDS Stake Chapel in Lovell with Bishop Jack Nicholls officiating. Burial will be in the Lovell Cemetery.
