She was born October 29, 1925 in Fairplay, CO to David C. & Mary G. (Barlow) Roth.
On June 27, 1945 she married James M. Ford. He died October 30, 1980.
Bernice retired in 2000 from Manchester Community School where she was a cook at Laketon and Manchester Elementary schools for many years. She was a past 4-H leader for many years and a past member of Rebekah Assembly IOOF of Colorado. She was raised on a ranch in Colorado. She loved to square dance, travel and spending time with the family. She was an avid sports fan and car racing fan. She was a member of Unity Christ Church, Fort Wayne, IN.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Howe, North Manchester, IN; grandchildren, Mark (Lisa) Howe and Victoria (Hank) Ioerger; great grandchild, Valleri Ioerger; brother, Jack E. Roth, Arvada, CO and sister, Velmarie Capelli, Thornton, CO.
