Jesse E. Williams, 71, of 23 N. Sacramento St., died Thursday evening in a Stockton hospital after an extended illness. A native of Alva, Okla., he later came to California in 1929 and worked at the Alameda Naval Base. He retired in 1950 and came to Lodi.

He is survived by three sons, Claude Williams of Manteca, Jesse Williams, Jr. of Tooele, Utah and Clifford Williams of Jacksonville, Fla.; one brother, Donald Williams of Sacramento; one sister, Mrs. Dora Hodges of Alva, Okla. and five grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of the Gierhart & Wells Funeral Home with Dr. R. E. Morton of St. Paul's American Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Lodi Memorial Cemetery.
