Edith Ann Gray, 68, went to be with her Lord on May 14, 2017, in Portland, Ore., after loosing her battle with leukemia.

She was born on June 15, 1948, in St. Clair, Mo., to Norman and Nina Simpson.

Her family came to Merrill, Ore., when she was 5-years-old. She graduated from Merrill High School in 1966. She worked in the insurance industry until 1973 when she met her husband, Charley Gray, who survives her. They were married later that year and she began a 44-year career as a wonderful and caring wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Charley Gray; son, Christopher and his partner Johnathan West-Gray; son ,David and wife Bonnie Gray; granddaughters, Zoey (8) and Zayla (3) Gray; and her brother, Norman Keith Simpson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Norma and Nina Simpson.
