Eleanor Faye Gee Coleman 1941 - 2017

Eleanor Gee Coleman, 75, formerly a long-time resident of Emory, Texas, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 14, 2017. Funeral: 1 p.m. Friday at Ingram Funeral Home, Quinlan. Interment: 1 p.m. Thursday, May 25, DFW National Cemetery. Eleanor was born in 1941 in Fort Worth. She married the love of her life, Thomas Coleman, on Feb. 2, 1970. The couple settled in Fort Worth in the early 1970s where they loved and raised their five children: Belinda, Dale, Virginia, John and Patricia. Eleanor was a devoted and loving mother. She was very proud of her family and loved having them all around the breakfast table at the local IHOP. Eleanor loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. She enjoyed reminiscing about old family stories and laughing with her grandchildren. Eleanor was known for love for animals and willingness to rescue any animal who was in need of a loving home. Eleanor was a dedicated and hard worker. She enjoyed traveling, seeing the world and meeting new people during her career as a truck driver. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Clark Coleman; son, John Willie Robertson III; first husband, John Willie Robertson Jr.; her parents; and eight siblings. Survivors: Three siblings; four children, Belinda McLaren and husband James, Dale Robertson and wife Amy, Virginia Dodson and husband Billy and Patricia Yowell and husband Phillip; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
