Ellen Faye Bell, age 79, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017. She was born on October 17, 1937 in Atlanta, Georgia, daughter of the late Joel Burton Aderhold and Mable Aderhold. Faye was a member of Central Baptist Church where she loved singing in the choir and she loved her Sunday School class. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Lon H. “Buddy” Bell.
She is survived by her children: Jennifer Lynn Blevins and her husband, Douglas Blevins and Lon Harry Bell, III and his wife, Lisa Bell; grandchildren: Leah Blevins Hogue, April Blevins Burg, Chanda Leigh Bell and Kasey Lynn Bell; two great grandchildren; sister: Joy Davis; three nieces and four nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 19, 2017, at 1:00 PM from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bryan Alexander and Rev. Charles Gibbs officiating. Interment will follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Eric Hogue, Zach Burg, Ethan Stafford, Phil Walton, Keith Walton, Kenneth Sims, Lee Vaughn and Johnny Staton.
Hightower’s Memorial Chapel of Douglasville, Georgia has charge of the arrangements.
