Janice was born in West Virginia on October 6, 1931 to the late Jesse James Wahl and Audrey Phipps Wahl. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dwaine Price; one sister, Edith Wahl; and one brother, Roger Wahl.
She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Elizabethton. She had a never-wavering faith and enjoyed flowers, reading and her dog, “Charlie”.
Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Johnnie Price and wife Sharon, of Ohio; two daughters, Deborah Steinke and husband Bruce of TN and Linda Price, of Ohio; four grandchildren, David Burleson, of Florida, Beverly Frazier, of Elizabethton, Johnnie Price and Brandon Price, both of Ohio; two great grandchildren, Eliana Burleson, of TN and Braden Burleson, of FL; one brother, Donald Wahl and wife Treva, of West Virginia; four sisters, Maxine Wahl, of West Virginia, Carol Phillips, of Ohio, Shirley Daniels, of Tennessee and Elaine Guy and husband Ed, of South Carolina; several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Janice L. Price will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 19, 2017 in the Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Rev. Kenley Knight, officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Friday.
The graveside service will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Frazier, who stood by her, loved and cared for her deeply.
