Clayton Miller “Clay” Richardson, 42, of North Vernon passed away at 10:02 p.m. on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon.

Born June 27, 1974 in Greenfield, Indiana; the son of Sharon Tooley Cywinski and the late Reginald Richardson.

Mr. Richardson worked construction and maintenance in Austin and had previously worked as an attendant for the former Muscatatuck State Developmental Center in Butlerville for three years. He enjoyed watching sports, was a Indianapolis Colts, Indiana University and Pacers Basketball fan and listening to music.

He is survived by his sons, Trey Richardson of North Vernon, Zachary Richardson and Peyton Richardson both of Scottsburg; daughter, Shey Richardson of North Vernon; mother, Sharon Cywinski of North Vernon; brother, Israel Richardson of North Vernon; sister, Adrienne (Tony) Ryan of Boulder Creek, California; grandchild, Kenzliegh Richardson of Scottsburg, grandparents, Dorothy Richardson of Indianapolis and Jennie (Paul) Kelley of Evansville and aunt, Sherri (Bill) Falise of Indianapolis.

He was preceded in death by his father, Reginald Richardson.

A funeral service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2017 at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until time of service.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to American Heart Association.
