Samuel A. Thompson, 46, Terre Haute, Ind., former Canonsburg resident, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 1957, in Terre Haute, of injuries received in an automobile accident.
Mr. Thompson was born Jan. 24, 1911, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Samuel and Ellen Tierney Thompson. He spent his entire life in Canonsburg until last year when he moved to Terra Haute, where he was employed as a mine foreman for the Snow Coal Co. He was a member of St. Patrick's R. C. Church.
Surviving are his wife, Katherine Gerry Thompson; two daughters, Patricia and Diane, at home; two brothers, John, McClelland Rd and Gerard, Canonsburg; four sisters: Mrs. Ellen Ducray, Claysville; Mrs. Anne Land, Cleveland, Ohio; Mrs. Mary Puchi and Mrs. Treasa Trinor, both of Boston, Mass.
Friends will be received in the Krawczyk Funeral Home, where services will be held at 9 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 9, followed by a requiem high mass at 9:30 a.m., in St. Patrick's R. C. Church, in charge of the Rev. Paul Simko. Burial in the church cemetery.
